Herbal benefactors for inflammation of the mouth and throat
With sage, tormentil, and chamomile for mouth ulcers, gingivitis, or sore throats!
Our Duschlbaur's herbal tinctures are also very suitable for gargling in cases of inflammation in the mouth and throat.
The essential oils and tannins of sage, tormentil, and chamomile, in particular, can have astringent, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory effects. Herbal remedies have gained importance over synthetic chemicals in the treatment of inflammation of the mouth and throat.
In folk medicine, sage and chamomile have long been among the most important herbal remedies. Both plants have been extensively studied in clinical studies. The tannins they contain, among others, promote the soothing of the mucous membranes in the mouth and throat. The essential oils can inhibit bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Tinctures have been shown to have a stronger antimicrobial effect overall than a tea gargle.
Bloodroot, as a herbal remedy for inflammation of the mouth and throat, tends to lead a rather shadowy existence. For experts in Austrian traditional medicine, bloodroot is indeed an important remedy for mucous membrane irritations. The catechin tannin contained in bloodroot can contract painful mucosal injuries. At the same time, it can inhibit the spread of viruses and bacteria.
How to gargle with our Duschlbaur's herbal tinctures:
