The natural ingredients of theAndrographis Tincture Dropsare:Water, alcohol, Kalmegh.
To produce these very valuable drops we use the root of the plant.
All parts of the plant are characterized by their high bitterness. For this reason, Kalmegh has played a central role in Ayurvedic, traditional Chinese, and Tibetan medicine for centuries.
Also known as Kalmegh, Indian Echinacea or King of Bitters, it is becoming more and more popular.
The Andrographis plant belongs to the Acanthus family (acanthaceae), a member of the mint family. With up to 4,000 species, the Acanthus family is one of the most species-rich plant families and is found primarily in tropical regions. Due to this biodiversity, many members of this family are used as medicinal, useful, and ornamental plants.
As an annual herbaceous plant, Kalmegh grows up to 1 m tall. The stem is straight, square, and distinctly winged at the top. The leaves are paler on the underside and pointed-lanceolate in shape. The rose-red, small flowers grow in panicles or racemes and bloom in November and December. The capsule fruits are elongated, pointed at the end, and filled with numerous yellowish-brown seeds.
