The natural ingredients of theCurcuma tincture dropsare: water, alcohol, turmeric.
We use the root to produce these very valuable drops.
Turmeric spice, with its appetizing yellow-orange color, is often stirred into soups and sauces for a visual boost. Upon contact with turmeric, everything immediately turns yellow. Since the color isn't water-soluble, washing it off won't help. Our tip: expose the plastic parts to the sun—the color will disappear.
Far more interesting than its culinary uses are its medicinal properties. Turmeric has been revered as a medicinal plant for thousands of years. Ancient peoples saw the yellow root as a representation of the sun, hence the name "turmeric." Numerous scientific and clinical studies have been conducted on the medicinal effects of the turmeric plant on human health and its ability to combat disease.
The turmeric plant belongs to the ginger family. It grows up to one meter tall. Its reed-like leaves are light green. The rhizome is richly branched, and the very large, stalked leaves are basal with oblong-elliptical venation. Small, yellow-lipped flowers sit in pale green bracts. The uppermost bracts are often tinged with purple.
