The natural ingredients of theChaga mushroom tincture dropsare: water, alcohol, chaga mushroom.
To produce these very valuable drops we use the whole mushroom.
Its natural distribution extends across Europe, North and South America, Siberia, Northern Russia, Japan, Korea, and Central Asia. For centuries, both the indigenous peoples of North America and those of Eastern Europe and Russia have known many uses for this medicinal mushroom, which is deeply rooted in their respective traditions.
The slanting shilling polypore is a parasitic wood inhabitant. It begins its growth on living host trees, preferably birch, alder, beech, and oak. Years after infestation, a hard, black, misshapen structure develops from the bark. This growth is asexual. This sclerotium grows slowly, killing its host. The fungus can grow up to 30 cm in diameter and weigh up to 5 kg. The chaga mushroom is harvested as a sclerotium.
Beneath the tree bark, the fruiting layer spreads in the form of so-called stem ridges. Because of its slanted pores, the fungus was named "slanting slate polypore." This fruiting layer produces the sexual spores for reproduction. When the fruiting body releases its spores, the fungus dies.
